A season of transition from wedding photography to branding and marketing

Over the course of the last several years, my business has gone through a season of transition from Rubi Z. Wedding Photography into the branding and marketing company you now know as Charizma Co. You might not know how photography actually provided me with the fuel and avenue to start this company. 

There were many elements of wedding photography that allowed me to find those spaces and highlight within the current space we’re in with Charizma Co. 

Backstory

Throughout my time as a wedding photographer, I met several amazing wedding vendors, hearing incredible stories of businesses and entrepreneurs. Being a business owner myself, I connected with their journey and process. We were kindred spirits in this way. We wanted the same things in slightly different ways for slightly different reasons, but all together, we understood the language same language…entrepreneaurship.

Drawing near to a lot of these vendors/business owners made me aware. What was I aware of? These people were insanely talented, extremely hardworking, had “charizma” like you wouldn’t even believe…but their online presence never reflected that. It was astonishing to me that I felt I was literally seeing two identities. And the more astonishing thing was that their actual in person identity was WAY MORE interesting and exciting then their online version. I couldn’t understand how they didn’t have a single photo that could identify them correctly. Or a photo/video that would showcase their awesome personality. Even more so, their incredible work wasn’t even being represented correctly. I burned with passion to be the one to help close that gap for them. And this is how I landed in the business that I’m running now. Proudly building a team of amazing artisans that serve talented entrepreneurs.

Season of transition: Where we’ve been, where we’re going

It might be hard to follow how a photography business is now a branding and marketing agency. Yet for me, branding and marketing go hand in hand with visual arts and understanding the heart of people and translating it into visual and written form.

We launched Charizma Co in 2020, officially opened services in 2021 and it’s been growing in unbelievable ways. I grew from a one person team to now having more staff and additional photographers/videographers. We’re passionate about giving a full service experience where we are able to take our clients on a full brand journey.

What we offer our clients

Developing their BRAND DNA [a clear voice in their market], to brand aesthetics [where we help them create an identifiable design brand-logos/colors/graphics], to Brand Charizma [where we go into a full production of video and photography covering 3 months of fresh and intentional targeted visual content] and then we close off with either training our clients on how to manage their own content online or we become their marketing management team. We look forward to tightening our systems as we continue to manage our client accounts. Growing our team as our brand management accounts expand. We aim to continue training in all areas of branding/marketing in order to enhance our knowledge and provide the very best outcome possible to our clients. We hope to connect deeply, intentionally with each client so that we are creating a brand that speaks volumes for them.

This is simply the beginning for Charizma Co., and I can’t even imagine what is in store if this is just a glimpse of what’s to come. I think of all that it could turn into. It makes me so excited and my curiosity continues to ache for more and strive for new heights.
