A new year means new plans. This week is around the time of year when I ask myself many questions. What am I doing right, what needs some improvement, and what plain out needs to be eliminated in my life/business. As business owners, we should aim to expand and propel our businesses to new heights. Change is necessary to launch yourself, your business, and your team. Therefore, I am sharing a few things you can focus on to propel your business this upcoming year.
The end of the year is a sacred time for business owners. Unfortunately, most of the time, we run into the problem that the end of the year also falls into many holiday actions. The end of the year becomes a blur, and before we know it, we are in full swing of a new year! It’s essential to fight the urge to fall into the slump of the holidays. Carve time to focus on areas of your business that did well and those that didn’t. Retreat with yourself as a leader and then involve your team to be up to date with the analysis and anticipated changes.
A leader without vision is a leader that is going nowhere. I ran into this quote this week by an unknown author. If you want to propel your business next year, you must have clarity and vision for the following year. We are all aware that it won’t play out to the T but having vision and direction makes you a more targeted and focused brand that results in the type of conversion your business needs to grow. I recently wrote a blog about three valuable ways to create a clear vision. I highly recommend reading this if you’re interested in clarifying your vision.
If you want to build a lasting brand, stop being a salesperson and start caring about people. When you only care about business, it will show. Constantly selling to an audience isn’t going to get you anywhere, but occasionally bringing up what you sell is essential for clarity. Lead with a compelling heart and learn to draw people closer to you through impacting visuals and storytelling captions. If you can learn to connect with others, it will change everything in the upcoming year!
We can easily forget that people are a priority. We instead put ourselves and our businesses as a priority. We instead put ourselves and our businesses as a priority. You have no idea how many countless posts are out there about “deserving more” as business owners, and quite frankly, it makes me cringe. Although I will always value what we do and what we offer here at Charizma Co, I urge everyone to recognize that people need more from us as business owners. So, this year, OUTGIVE your clients and watch what happens!
There’s nothing that will discourage you more than when you give or do something and expect a return. Your post, and believe you deserve the likes/comments, and when they don’t come, you’re disappointed. No one owes you anything at all. It’s essential to show up. What you do is a gift, and you should give that gift freely. The rewards will come if you’re patient enough to show up without expectancy of return.
Inspiration doesn’t come all of the time, but you can seek it out. Think about the things that inspire you. Does inspiration come from reading, painting, traveling, or relaxing? Whatever it is that inspires you, go on and find it! Get fresh inspiration for the next year, come into it with enthusiasm, ignite your team in a new way. Never show up to a new year dragging your feet.
Video content is a huge marketing tool. It always has been, but platforms like Youtube and Tiktok have been taking video content to video content is a huge marketing tool. It always has been, but platforms like Youtube and Tiktok have taken video content to another level. Instagram does not want to fall far behind these leading video platforms, so they give users incentives for using more video content. Video content is very engaging. People are getting more information in less amount of time. So invest time, energy, and finances this year on creating more video content to propel your business forward.
Choose the online platforms you feel you can manage, and commit to showing up. Online platforms are critical for business growth in this day in age. Whatever the online platform of your choice is, dedicate yourself to it full-heartedly. Having an online forum and not showing up to it, or doing so occasionally, is the equivalence of owning a storefront and having random hours. No one can understand your rhythm and when they should expect you to show up. But, they will check out because of the inconsistency. Whether it’s one, or five platforms, only run the platform if you’re ready to commit to it.
I’ll never get tired of saying this. Stop comparing. We all have a lane to walk out. Everyone will take on their road at the pace they set or at that pace that their life allows. You can’t possibly compare yourself to another person because their life isn’t yours. Focus on what’s in front of you, your goals, dreams, and vision. It’s yours to fulfill. Comparing isn’t ever a good thing because either you’ll get prideful or you’ll get discouraged, and neither are good things. Staying focused on your journey will propel your business to new heights because you won’t be wasting your time looking to the left and right and getting tripped up. Stay in your lane and keep your eyes on the road.
I wish you the best for this upcoming year! May your business propel in ways you’ve never seen before.
