3 VALUABLE WAYS TO CREATE A CLEAR VISION

Vision is where everything begins. Too many times, people hold off on their dreams by waiting for that perfect moment or for the timing to be right. Sure, there are times when that is necessary, but other times, it can become an excuse. “I’ll start doing this when…” or “Eventually, I’ll be able to if…” Starting with a vision will cut your time in half for whatever it is you decide to pursue.

Whatever dream or vision you chase after, whether it’s now or later, is going to be hard. Everything takes time, energy, and effort. It’s just a matter of where you want all of that time, energy, and effort to go. If you’re simply trying to make it through the days ahead while planning for ‘someday,’ it’s only going to strip and drain your energy. 

It might seem like it will cost more money or time, but in the long run, it will save you.
Because eventually, you’ll end where you want to go.

Start with where you want to end

You have to start with your end goal in mind. What project are you working on? What do you hope to accomplish? Everything you do will take time and effort, so it’s just a matter of where you direct all of that energy. If you don’t have a timeline of where you want to end, you’ll become drained along the way and want to quit. Putting off what you want to do, just trying to make ends meet won’t be beneficial. You might as well start now!

Get away for clarity in your vision

It’s crazy to me that some people believe clarity and vision just magically happen. If you want to focus on your vision, you just can’t add it to the never-ending to-do list at your office and expect to walk away with more clarity about the ideas you have.

Sitting in the everyday frustrations of life will only add to your stress and cluttered mind. Getting away for the sake of your business and future will empower the vision you have. Don’t make this getaway vacation or even another form of a business trip. You have to escape the daily routines. Go somewhere, even if it’s just for a day or two, whatever you’re able to afford – somewhere you will feel inspired and in-tune with the ideas that you want to walk away with.

Create an Action Plan for your vision

No vision will come to fruition without action. That will require investment on your part. That can look like a variety of things, whether it’s contacting mentors, booking sessions, or the right retreats to bring those visions and ideas to light.

Give yourself grace with deadlines. Sometimes overreaching or being overly ambitious will set you forward, but be mindful of what is realistic for your schedule and the timeline ahead of you. Add the dates to your calendar and planners, accordingly.

BONUS TIP:

Piggybacking on creating an action plan, we would also advise you to invest in your vision. Every person who has ever believed in something has had to invest at one point or another, whether that’s time, energy, focus, or finances. If you want to make something happen, you have to be prepared to do whatever it takes to make your vision a reality.
