Oceanpoint Ranch/ Leffingwell Landing Cambria CA Elopement Style Wedding

It was a quiet and moody day for this intimate wedding. We’d been on standby thinking the design elements and ideas would not play out as planned since rain was in the forecast. As desired and anticipated, rain didn’t ruin the day for these two. Everything fell into place for this celestial boho inspired elopement style wedding.

Every wedding vendor associated with creating Cory and Sam’s wedding day went above and beyond-truly! I’ve never been more impressed by the hard work, dedication, and passion behind seeing someone’s day and vision come to life. Let’s talk a little about the bride and groom and how their style and story played into their design. It was so much fun to see how it all came alive. They are in love with anything moon and stars and seeing that play into their overall wedding design was so beautiful. Sam selected a lovely dress from designed by BHLDN at Anthropologie, while Cory stood out in his own style with a rust orange suit from ASOS men. But let’s not forget Sparrow [daughter of the bride-aka flower girl], who wore a stunning little boho dress purchased from Etsy. Little elements like celestial ankle bracelet, hair barrette and tiara made for some beautiful details in the overall style.

Let’s talk design. I’ve seen my fair share of bohemian wedding designs, and quite honestly, they never get old-I absolutely love them. Yet, I ADORED the twist on this design. The color palette felt fresh and new and the twist on celestial boho was refreshing! The florals and the attention to detail on the type of florals, such as a double center rose. The main bouquet wrapped in a rich blue macrame piece, accented by a moon decal. I mean-breathtaking really. The teepee set up for all the guests was AMAZING.

Let’s close with the property and staff. Talk about a catch all wedding venue in the Central Coast. It was beautiful. As a photographer, you can only dream of shooting in spaces such as these: where interior design, reception areas, and beautiful views all come together! If you’re looking for a venue that has it all-look no more. Oceanpoint even has claw foot tubs in their hotel rooms! I mean…come on! Their property is beautiful and so huge giving me ample room to create beautiful photographs in private. Leffingwell Landing [a public-but VERY PRIVATE beach] is connected to the property therefore giving us 100% access to those views for photographs as well [we did several of our portraits here]. Their food truck was such a cool twist to the day and created such a festival vibe -along with fire pits. The outdoorsy, under the moon ambiance was truly felt in this this space. I mean, as a vendor, I had a blast and it was amazing watching the celebration take place! The night ended under the moon and stars dancing the chilly, yet warm with love, night away!
