Internal Reboot

You know when your computer is basically fried because of SO MUCH files and info stuffed inside of it. You keep getting notices of it being unable to operate because “Your disk is full. Save space by optimizing storage.” This is exactly the way I was feeling. Not like in a super bad I’m going to lose it kind of way, but just FULL of EVERYTHING. I needed a total reboot-and I didn’t even realize it-until after the reboot came!

Here are a few things that happened that naturally made me feel refreshed.

  1. I shut down the system! Pretty much, shut everything off and focused on what was important.
  2. I did a Virus Check: I tuned my ears to the voice of God and had Him search my heart and my mind.
  3. I opened a file sent [when my viruses were cleared]: After such a meaningful and rich conversation with my husband, he shared this Tedtalk with me by Joseph Gordon-Levitt [How Craving Attention Makes you Less Creative]
  4. Started my Monday off with a Clear Space: I caught a live Insta moment with Seth Godin and then started diving into a book of his I’ve had on my desk for a few months now. I love when I feel like it’s TIME for a book-and it’s the right time for it. Linchpin.

My creative friend…what does “rebooting” mean to you? When is the last time that you’ve had an internal reboot? Could it be that you’re stuck-just as a computer doesn’t allow you to move forward in a smooth pace when it’s full of stuff. Have you lost your flow? Could it be that you need a reboot?

You have brilliance in you, your contribution is valuable, and the art you create is precious. Only you can do it, and you must. I’m hoping you’ll stand up and choose to make a difference.” -Seth Godin: Linchpin
