Growing in confidence

Having confidence and walking in it in my business has not always come naturally to me. It is something that I have had to work on throughout my life and career. Growing in confidence started with reflection and understanding what it is that I really want, and ultimately changed my business.

Asking the hard questions for growing in confidence

Asking myself: What do I want out of this life? What do I feel designed to do that brings me the most peace? It is through those things that I’m able to operate in those mindsets and accomplish the things before me.

When we’re trying to compare ourselves with someone else’s life or somebody else’s dream or somebody else’s goal, we lose sight of what it is that makes us who we are. Comparison is never a game we’re going to win. That is not what it looks like to grow in confidence.

Staying focused on the areas I’m good in did boost my energy and ultimately how I’ve approached my business. I had to block out what others were doing, so I could strengthen my own skills.

How has walking in confidence changed my approach in business?

It has awakened potential in me I never knew I had. A little confidence and trust in myself made me curious to explore more possibilities. Until I realized, with faith, a lot of hard work, and practice…anything was possible.

Staying in my own lane

Now as a brand manager for a variety of businesses and entrepreneurs, I can remind and let others know that I have seen the goodness of what it means to stay in our lane. If clients are struggling with direction or their mindset, I can assure them that what they want is attainable. Drawing from my own experience allows me to help others in the process.

Yes, there will be bad days and moments of insecurity. But, you don’t have to stay there. 

If you’re looking to grow in confidence in your life and business, I would challenge you to ask yourself the same questions:

• What do I want out of this life?
• What do I feel designed to do that brings me the most peace?

Moving forward: 

If you are true to who you are and what you want most in life, you will continue to trust yourself and move forward in those small victories. Expanding on the wins will build confidence. As you go, you will learn to walk in how you were designed to be and grow in confidence.
