Brian Whelan [a Country artist/musician] and Rachael Kruk [also in the music industry] obviously share a love and passion for great music. Although, I’m not a musician, I am the reason why musician’s have a job-I LOVE MUSIC. I love listening to music and music really fuels me…it always has.
When we were brainstorming for their shoot, there was a lot of back and forth about album cover influences and the cover album of the Wilson Sister’s set the tone for this part of their session. It was just a little spark that I took and took it into a direction that felt true to Brian and Rachael in this modern time.
In this studio space [Mesh Cowork in Bakersfield CA], this minimal environment…Brian and Rachael came alive. I actually had them play music in the studio. They danced, and sang, and seriously changed the space and made it theirs. It suddenly felt like I was inside of their home. It was special and sparked a love for studio work I thought I’d lost.
Brian and Rachael…you’re a beautiful love song. Your love and connection moved me just as music moves me. I am so excited for more moments such as these coming very soon! xoxoxo. -Rubi Z
