Her middle name means “from the Sun.”

We call ourselves the “Lucky 7,” my siblings and I. Having a single mother who loves us so much-who taught us how to stay connected as siblings…we are lucky. But we wouldn’t ever be the lucky seven without our SEVEN…

Karina brought joy to our home when she was a little girl and still does now. She would stand before all of her dwarf dolls in her Snow White costume standing before them asking them “let me see your hands!” If you know the movie, you know what I’m referring to. She’d dance and sing and bop her head to headphones we would put on her ears. She’d climb on EVERYTHING like a monkey.

She passed me up a few years back in height but-WHATEVER [lol]! She calls me her “LITTLE sister.” She gives the absolute greatest hugs like she’s trying to squeeze all of the love out of you. She fixes my makeup and lets me shop through her closet when I don’t have time to shop. She is such a fun tia to my kids. She’ll text me for random decor advice. And, she makes every story twice as long and extra interesting.

My sister’s middle name is “del Sol” which means “from the sun.” She brought sunshine into our lives and she still brings sunshine everyday. Happy birthday sister, I love you!
