Down to Earth with David + Devin: Bakersfield CA Engagement

Do you ever meet people that make you feel like you’re friends instantly? I am describing to you exactly the way David and Devin made me feel. I sat with them for coffee at a local Starbucks when we first me for their consultation. They laughed with me, exposed their heart to me, and hugged me as if they’d known me forever. I knew that they were truly down to earth people. When planning their session I wanted to keep it personal, intimate, and simple. Simple sometimes can be overlooked-but simple sometimes is the most heartfelt. It causes the little connections and moments to shine most.

As I was about to head to our final destination, it was as if God had other plans. I looked to my left to see open rolling hills. Skies that were just showing off. I heard music in my ears to the sound of The Lion King. Literally I did. I felt that moment, that space, and I knew that it was made for them. We stopped and it was truly perfect.

This collection is full of those sweet in between moments. The way he softly reaches for her. The way she looks at him with fiery eyes. The joy and strength within their relationship. I hope you can feel the love.
