A Mission to Chick-Fil-A

I’m excited to finally share this collection with you all. I love the following things about it….

1. Breonna + Colton. I’ve grown to know and love Breonna with Blazeny [Wedding Designers] and I’ve had the joy in the midst of knowing and meeting her family. Through a random conversation, I came to find out that she wasn’t as thrilled about her wedding photographs as she wished she would be. It broke my heart and always breaks my heart to hear that brides prepare such a beautiful day and then do not have anything to show for it. So….I had to work with them!
2. They got back into their wedding attire. Breonna slipped back into her beautiful Pronovias wedding gown [a tradition she does every year since marriage] and Colton looked incredibly sharp in his blue suit from Aj’s Tuxedo in Bakersfield. Breonna also had her hair and makeup done by the beautiful team at Onyx Styling Co.
3. When a plan/vision becomes more than you imagined. It was already in my vision and plans to begin their session at Mission San Juan Capistrano which I later found out was a home town to Breonna + Colton during school. I also knew that I wanted to do another part of their session at a beach, which they then revealed to me that Colton asked Breonna to be his girlfriend at a local beach nearby. Finally on the way to that beach we passed by good ol’ Chick-Fil-A and I turned to my assistant Tora and gave her the look of….”should I?!” Then randomly came up with a plan to stop at Chick-Fil-A at the end. I’ve seen it done before-the incorporation of fast food and wedding attire, but I imagined a different take on it and it made me excited-especially because I actually have memories of running into Breonna at Chick-Fil-A quite a bit when she was pregnant…turns out it’s a favorite for both so they did not question my Chick-Fil-A idea one bit!

Here it is guys…I hope you enjoy this collection. I was inspired not only by this amazing couple, but the beautiful ruins at Mission San Juan and the challenging but interesting sharp light that we shot in during bright daylight.

From a mission, to the beach to Chick-Fil-A….
