I laugh.

You know, when people tell me or others that you need to separate business from your personal life. How exactly do you do such a thing?

We are human. We literally are the PERSON inside personal. Business, and everything we do is personal. We are fueled by all the things that make up our DNA. How then is it it possible to detach the personal element? Everything that we do is somehow weirdly strung together. We can’t separate it if we try. Your heart, your will, your motives, everything inside of you will absolutely affect the way you show up at work. If your kids are facing health issues, if your marriage is suffering, if you’re broken…it will absolutely affect the way you work.

I believe that when you understand that BUSINESS IS PERSONAL you will actually bring more to the table and you will give more to others sitting at the table. You will understand that you are not talking or collaborating with a “business” but a person, with family, and heart, and a life!
