5 MINDSET CHARACTERISTICS THAT THOSE I ADMIRE HAVE IN COMMON

I have people that I look up to from afar. People I think are pretty “GREAT!” They are writers, creators, entrepreneurs, stylists, master business minds, marketers. They have 5 specific qualities that I admire. Here’s what they are.

1. HARD WORKERS

While most people will tell you how to get rich with very little work, the people I admire understand that it requires hard work to build wealth and to have success. They don’t take the cheap and easy route because they understand that it never pays off in the long run. They have triumphant stories about the hard times that lead to the successes. There is experience and journey behind all of their accomplishments and they are now motivating and paving the way for those who are journeying where they once did.

2. CLEAR PRIORITIES

The greats I admire have families and a life they love outside of work. They understand that although work is important-it would never compare to the value and importance of their family and relationships. Those I look to have clear priorities. Not balance because they understand that there is no balance, it’s just a life they’ve chosen and nothing that matters gets left out. They make room and time for those they love. Their marriage matters and their children matter and it’s fuel and a driving force into everything they do. They know when to silence the noise and be intentional about what is most important to them.

3. ROOTED IN FAITH

Sanity. Clarity and depth with someone higher than them. Prayer and faith and complete trust. These are elements of surrender that those I admire have. They understand that there’s only a fraction of what they do under their control and the rest is up to God. They stand firm in their faith and aren’t afraid to be weak. They don’t try to take all of the credit for their victories but they are aware that they’ve been guided and supported through it all. They also know how to quiet the madness and the noise and to stand firm on their morals and principles. So much of their “magic sauce” is the added sauce from above.

4. PASSIONATE

They are enthusiastic about the work they create. It hardly feels like work because they are driven and passionate. Those I admire fully understand and believe that what they are doing is for a greater purpose. They show up with excellence. They believe that every moment counts and they open doors of opportunity because of their drive and passion. They are also passionate for other people. All of the people that I admire-are leaders and they are passionate about others.

5. CONFIDENCE

Confidence is a key to their success. They stand boldly and confidently in the person that they are. All of the people that I admire have distinct personalities. None of them like the other at all. They are their own person. They’ve found their own voice and they aren’t afraid to be who they are. Their confidence has built a foundation for others to thrive in their own skin. They aren’t moved by the opinions of others-although they are thoughtful and have feelings-they don’t allow others to dictate their future. They show up for the life they were designed to live.

We all have “GREATS” in our lives. They become greats because they hold characteristics that we admire, things and mindsets that we believe in. Think about some people that you define as the “greats” and write down your own 5 characteristics/mindsets that they have and it will show you what you want for your own life/business.

Attain the mindset of your GREATS and then soon enough you’ll find yourself on someone’s GREATS list. You and I, we aren’t looking to be famous or great. I know. But we are looking to live fully and present and give this life of ours OUR ALL. It’s not easy to show up sometimes, but remember that when you do-you could be changing someone else’s life. They just might need your mindset/greatness that day.
