Crazy story.
I was actually Carol’s camp keep counselor. Who would have ever imagined that years later, we would not only be working in the creative industry but we would work together.
Carol has been my client for a few years now as I’ve photographed her family’s most priceless moments. Recently I’ve become her client as she is now my hairstylist and we have created a beautiful content collection for her business.
I could rave about Carol all day any day. She embodies so many things that make her truly, a one of a kind human. Carol has overcome a lot in her personal life and day by day becoming more of the woman she’s wanted to be. She’s caring, sincere, and has a heart of PURE GOLD. She means well for everyone and does her best to show the people that she loves, that they matter. She’s thoughtful with her clients and makes them feel comfortable in her chair and beyond. Carol has INCREDIBLE personal style. Her home decor and wardrobe are effortlessly on point. She is a plant lover and coffee lover and supports so many amazing local businesses. If I’ve seen anyone support other businesses, it’s Carol! She’s a gem to our city and a gem to our world.

- How would you describe your job? Busy, messy, fun, and passionate.
- How did you start in the business? In 2015 I started off as an assistant at Aveda Salon. I then adventured off both renting with House of Beauty. Moved to Atomic kitten where I really kicked of my career from one day a week to part time and leaving a full time stylist. Now I am a full time busy busy busy artist at Primary the Salon in Downtown Bakersfield CA.
- What part of your job might surprise people? We are jack of all trades. We become natural Therapist, a form of Chemist, Magicians, Massage therapist, a Friend who makes you look and feel better.
- What do you love the most about what you do? What I love most about my job are my clients, they give me life . Being able to enhance their beauty is so sweet.
- How do you balance being a mom + owning a business/working? Truthfully I don’t know . I just do it . I can’t really say how, it just balances.
- How do you find time to focus on yourself while taking care of your business + your family? Sneaking a day off lol as silly as it sounds Or my best friend will take me away for the day because she knows I need it.
- What’s the best advice you’ve received? I don’t know there’s so many. I will say that the best advice I get is from my mom.
- What’s your favorite food/drink? COFFEE and Conchas.
- Describe a perfect day for you. It would be a rainy day at home watching movies with my babies or a family road trip.
