Makeup by Maria Aguilar

Let me introduce to you this super fun and cool makeup artist I’ve had the great privilege of working with this year.  I’m blown away by her level of artistry and professionalism and would highly recommend her work to any bride.

This is Maria Aguilar!  She launched her makeup business in 2009.  Maria always had an artistic element to her and knew she’d want to pursue some kind of artistic career.  Once she discovered that she could making a living by using art to enhance and make people feel great, that’s when she knew she had to be a makeup artist.

Maria is a very electric person and finds it both fun and interesting to do different styles and work with different people.  Expressing her creativity in an artistic way while enhancing the beauty of her clients is what sincerely makes her come alive.  Her inspiration literally comes from any artistic element like music, art, fashion or even just trying a new makeup product. When she isn’t working she loves to spend time with her family and close friends.

When I asked Maria if there is anything she can tell others who are interested in taking up this career this is what she said, “This journey is definitely not for everyone; it takes a lot of passion and hard work. The beauty industry was always something I knew I wanted to be a part of, I was always styling hair and makeup for my family and friends at a very young age. I came into the industry excited and ready to take on the challenge but having patience is most important and allowing it to work out organically. If you naturally have the talent and wish to elevate your skills I say do it and always stay teachable.”
